Ali Haider, the beloved Pakistani pop artist, singer, songwriter, and actor, recently took to Instagram to express his gratitude to the Pakistani American Youth Organization of North Texas (PAYNT). He offered a heartfelt "Thank you so much" to the organization that has been instrumental in strengthening the cultural fabric of the Pakistani-American community in Texas. His public message follows a series of performances Haider gave for PAYNT executives and supporters at two highly anticipated events: the Azaadi Mela 2024 and the National Cricket League at UT Dallas.

Haider, who rose to fame with hits like Purani Jeans and Zara Chehra To Dikhao, has long been a household name in the global Pakistani music scene. His unique blend of pop and soulful melodies has earned him international acclaim, cementing his status as a musical icon across generations. With a career that spans decades, Haider has continually evolved as an artist while staying true to his roots. His recent performances in Texas further affirmed his close bond with his fans, particularly the vibrant and engaged Pakistani-American community.

The Azaadi Mela, held on August 17th at the Mar Thoma Event Center, was a

celebration of Pakistan’s Independence Day and a landmark event hosted by the Pakistani American Patriots Association (PAPA), the parent organization of PAYNT. Thanks to the tireless efforts of PAYNT, the event came to life with a rich tapestry of cultural performances, community engagement, and, of course, the much-anticipated live performance by Ali Haider himself. PAYNT executives Azlan Siraj and Zain Kalwar were pivotal in organizing the event, and their meeting with Haider added a personal touch to the day’s proceedings.

Haider's set at the Azaadi Mela was nothing short of electrifying. Performing in front of a packed audience that included PAYNT's leadership, his nostalgic hits and new releases brought the crowd to its feet, making it one of the most memorable moments of the festival. PAYNT’s presence at the event underscored their commitment to promoting Pakistani culture and fostering a sense of unity within the diaspora. Their involvement extended beyond organizational duties—they were the heartbeat of the day, making sure everything from the stage setup to crowd engagement was flawless.

Two months later, Haider graced another significant event—this time at the National Cricket League held at UT-Dallas on October 11th, 2024. Cricket, often regarded as the heartbeat of the Pakistani sports community, took center stage, and Haider’s performance added a musical flair to the event. PAYNT was once again instrumental in bringing this showcase to life, working alongside community leaders and event organizers to ensure its success. PAYNT's involvement, from logistical support to volunteer coordination, ensured the day went off without a hitch, and Haider’s performance was the perfect finale to a day of sport and celebration.

What makes Haider’s gratitude even more poignant is the acknowledgment of PAYNT’s efforts in the background. While Ali Haider delivered star-studded performances, it was the dedication of organizations like PAYNT that provided the framework for these moments to shine. The youth organization has been an integral part of the North Texas community, constantly working behind the scenes to promote Pakistani culture, provide opportunities for youth engagement, and strengthen the bond between generations of

Pakistani-Americans.

The two events—a cultural festival and a cricket celebration—were more than just performances. They were emblematic of the growing influence and presence of the Pakistani-American community in North Texas, and Haider’s expression of thanks to PAYNT underscores the importance of youth organizations like this in making such cultural milestones possible.

With Ali Haider’s nod of appreciation and their continued involvement in high-profile events, PAYNT is quickly establishing itself as a cornerstone of Pakistani-American cultural life. Haider’s acknowledgment may have come in the form of a simple “thank you” on social media, but it echoed with the weight of decades of cultural pride and community solidarity that organizations like PAYNT work so hard to cultivate.

As PAYNT continues to grow, collaborating with major artists and leaders in the community, their efforts are leaving an indelible mark on the cultural landscape of North Texas, ensuring that events like the Azaadi Mela and National Cricket League will continue to flourish. Haider’s gratitude is just one testament to the impact they are making—and with every event, their influence only deepens.
